Happy March! And thank you to those who participated in the survey I conducted during February. Your responses were quite helpful in determining the direction of The Tea Room! Photographs of interiors and tablescapes or tea rooms was the most popular category, with recipes of the sweet and savory a close second. Since some voted for paintings and stories, I'll add those along the way, too. Thank you once again for voicing your opinions -- I really value them!
I was born in San Francisco and have lived in the Bay Area all my life. Several years ago, my grandmother took my sisters and me to enjoy tea at the Garden Court inside the Palace Hotel. It was a lovely setting and, although I've not returned since, I plan to make it a point to get there this year again. Here is a photo of the Garden Court. Isn't it lovely? And wouldn't you want to return soon, too? Perhaps you've already been there? If so, please do tell!
This room is as grand as it appears. It is absolutely stunning! I chose to share this tea location first since I was born in San Francisco and since the Palace Hotel's Garden Court has a special place in my heart. Please visit The Tea Room again soon to see more photographs, the menu for Afternoon Tea, and a recipe or two.
The Tea Room is joining a party this week, "Hooked on Fridays." To see what Julia and her friends are hooked on, please head over to Hooked on Houses.

Wow! What a spacious dining area. I haven't been to the hotel but have read good reviews about it.

I have read good review and have seen photos of it online. With my busy schedule I hope I can go there and have tea someday.

What a spacious area this hotel has. I wonder how wide is the dining area. I would love to eat in a place like this someday.

If I would be invited to go to a place like this then it would be a first for me. I like eating in a wide open space because it make me comfortable.

The Palace Hotel has a very wide dining area which makes it perfect for big gatherings. I think this place would be perfect for my wedding reception.

I live in San Francisco and I have been to that hotel. My last visit there was when the reception of my wedding was held there. The place was nice.

I usually like to eat alone but when I eat with someone special, I want to do it in a place like this. I want the whole place to see the person I am with.
